International Round Table on the topic “Strategic Leadership”
On June 6, 2023, the International Business School hosted an International Round Table on the topic of “Strategic Leadership.” The forum brought together over 35 academic leaders from universities in Malaysia and Indonesia, as well as senior officials from state institutions such as the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, the Revenue Agency, the Port Regulator of Malaysia, the Social Security Organization under the Ministry of Human Resources, and others. The round table is part of the international program “Training in Strategic Management and Leadership.”

Associate Professor Dr. Stela Baltova, Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation, opened the forum with a welcome to the participants and expressed the pleasure of IBS to host this event, which is the result of the international exposure of IBS and an opportunity to expand collaboration, exchange innovative practices, and promote intercultural exchange in the field of strategic management and leadership.
Professor Datuk Roziah Mohd Janor, President of the Malaysian Association of Legal Authorities, Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia, and Mr. Petar Korum bashev, Honorary Consul of Malaysia in Bulgaria, also extended their congratulations to the participants in the round table and wished for successful and fruitful cooperation between the institutions.

Associate Professor Dr. Daniela Georgieva, Dean of IBS, acquainted the participants of the Round Table with the development and achievements in the 32-year history of IBS. An active discussion was sparked by the lecture of Professor Dr. Milanka Slavova regarding the current state of Bulgaria’s economy and its foreign trade with Asia in the context of strategic leadership. Participants in the meeting shared the experience of universities in Malaysia and Indonesia in the field of research on strategic leadership.


The Round Table was also attended by the Vice-Rector of IBS, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ivan Andreev, and lecturers from the business school. The forum became a space for the exchange of knowledge, outlining opportunities for collaboration, and intercultural exchange.
