International business school students reach the final of a prestigious global entrepreneurship competition
A team of innovative students from the International Business School of Bulgaria (IBSB) has reached the final round of the prestigious 2025 NIBS Worldwide Business Plan Competition, ranking among the top four teams in the world with their innovative business idea, Leora.
Leora is a sustainable and immediately effective solution to one of the most serious global challenges – the air pollution. It was created by Tiyana Doncheva (CEO), a student in “Business Administration and Project Management,” along with Nikoleta Angelova (Marketing Specialist) and Anna Efendulova (Sales Manager), both students in “Business Administration and Entrepreneurship.”

Out of 13 strong international semifinalist teams, Leora was selected as one of the four finalists, alongside teams from Ireland, Finland, and Turkey. The final event will be held online on May 15 (Thursday) at 3:00 PM (Central European Summer Time).
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Stella Baltova, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at IBSB and the team’s coach, shared: “We are incredibly proud of Tiyana, Nikoleta, and Anna for their vision and commitment to sustainable development. Leora is not just a business idea – it’s a response to a global crisis. Their success is a testament to the high level of preparation at IBS.”
About the competition:
The NIBS Worldwide Business Plan Competition is a flagship initiative of the Network of International Business Schools (NIBS), aimed at fostering entrepreneurship among students from member institutions. Participants develop a business idea, create a business plan, conduct market research, and present their project to an international panel of business experts.
The finalists will compete for a prize pool of €2,600, with the winner receiving €1,200. All participants will receive certificates and be featured on the official NIBS channels – LinkedIn and the organization’s website.
The true value of education lies in its ability to lead to real positive change. Leora’s success shows that when knowledge meets vision, innovation, and social responsibility, ideas are born with the power to change the world. The NIBS final is just the beginning of Leora’s journey – a project with the potential to inspire cities around the globe to breathe cleaner and freer.
We wish our students luck, confidence, inspiration, and many more international recognitions! The International Business School will continue to support and develop young talents who think big, act innovatively, and drive socially responsible change for a better future.
