We are pleased to announce the Blended Intensive Program (BIP) hosted by the International Business School (IBS) in Sofia, Bulgaria. Our partners are KRAKOW UNIVERSITY OF ECONOMICS, Krakow, Poland, and DIETHNES PANEPISTIMIO ELLADOS, Thessaloniki, Greece.

This unique program is tailored for staff and students and will offer an engaging blend of professional development, cultural exploration, and networking opportunities.

Topic: Tourism, Logistics, and Managerial Decisions – the Challenges of Global Uncertainties

In-person Component: 12–16 May 2025

Virtual Component: 30 April 2025 (one day online)

Recommended Arrival: 11 May 2025

Participants will engage in an immersive academic experience, exchanging expertise and innovative ideas in the fields of tourism, logistics, and management. The program will be delivered through interactive sessions, discussions, and case studies led by experienced professionals and academics.

We do not provide dormitories or university residences for staff participants. Participants are encouraged to book accommodations (paid by themselves) in advance through Booking.com.

During the program, all participants will be provided with complimentary lunch from Monday to Friday, as well as snacks and coffee during breaks.

A rich three-day cultural and social program is included, offering participants a unique opportunity to explore the vibrant city of Sofia. Activities include:

  • Guided city tour showcasing Sofia’s historic landmarks and modern attractions.
  • Visits to renowned museums, including the National History Museum and the Boyana Church (UNESCO World Heritage Site).
  • Evening cultural events such as traditional Bulgarian music and dance performances.
  • A culinary experience featuring local Bulgarian cuisine.

Final Day: International Conference

On the program’s final day, participants are invited to attend and optionally participate in the Annual International Scientific Conference hosted by IBS. This conference brings together leading researchers and practitioners to discuss innovative approaches in various fields. Two weeks before the program, all registered participants will receive a detailed agenda and practical guidance, including information on transportation, currency, local attractions, and tips for a smooth stay in Sofia.
